Overview
This Refund Policy explains when payments for Tooljin paid plans (Pro and Business) are and are not refundable. By subscribing to a paid plan or starting a free trial, you agree to this policy. We have designed it to be fair and transparent: our 7-day free trial gives you a genuine, risk-free way to evaluate Tooljin in full before any money is taken from you.
7-Day Free Trial — Your Risk-Free Window
- Eligible new users can start a Pro or Business plan with a 7-day free trial.
- At sign-up, our payment provider may place a small verification charge (approximately ₹1–5) to validate your payment method. This amount is automatically refunded by the payment provider.
- You are not charged the plan amount during the trial.
- You may cancel any time before the trial ends from your account settings — if you do, you will not be charged at all and you will simply return to the Free plan.
- The free trial is your full opportunity to evaluate the Service. Only one free trial is permitted per user, and a trial cannot be combined with any coupon or promotional offer.
Charges After the Trial Are Non-Refundable
If you do not cancel before your trial ends, the full plan amount is automatically charged at the end of the 7-day period. This charge — and every subsequent renewal charge — is final and non-refundable. The same applies to any subscription purchased directly without a trial.
Because we provide a 7-day free trial and clearly display all pricing before purchase, we do not offer refunds for:
- Change of mind after a charge has been taken
- Failure to cancel before the trial ends or before a renewal date
- Unused or partially used AI credits, or unused days remaining in a billing period
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated output — AI results vary by nature and can be evaluated freely during the trial and on the Free plan
- Not using the Service after subscribing
- Annual plans after the trial has converted — the discounted annual rate is provided in exchange for a full-year commitment
Limited Exceptions
In the interest of fairness, we will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis only in the following genuine situations:
- Duplicate or accidental charges — for example, you were billed twice for the same period
- A verified billing error on our side — you were charged an incorrect amount due to a fault in our systems
- Extended service unavailability caused directly by us and not resolved within a reasonable time
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. The small verification charge during a trial is auto-refunded by the payment provider and does not require a request.
How to Request a Refund (Eligible Cases Only)
For the limited exceptions listed above, email refunds@tooljin.com within 7 days of the charge with:
- Your registered email address
- The order / transaction / payment ID
- A clear description of the issue
We acknowledge requests within 24 hours and, where approved, process them within 3–5 business days. Your bank or card provider may take a further 5–10 business days to credit the amount.
Cancellation
You may cancel your trial or subscription at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us. Cancelling during a trial means you are never charged. Cancelling a paid plan stops all future renewals; your access continues until the end of the current paid period, and no refund is issued for the remaining time.
Trial Abuse & Chargebacks
- Only one free trial is allowed per user. Attempts to obtain multiple trials, create duplicate accounts, or abuse trial credits may result in immediate revocation of access and denial of any refund.
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service are not eligible for any refund.
- Please contact us before initiating a payment chargeback or dispute. Chargebacks raised without first contacting us may lead to suspension of your account and forfeiture of access.
Free Plan
The Free plan involves no charges, so no refunds apply.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
